Event Host
Flash Co. | Event Host Part-time, Casual | Calgary, AB and surrounding areas
Who We Are
Flash Co. creates elevated photo and video experiences at weddings, corporate events, and brand activations across Alberta and the Canadian Rockies. We run 150+ events per year, ranging from weddings to large-scale corporate galas.
What This Role Is
You are the face of Flash Co. at every event. You pick up equipment, drive to the venue, set up the experience, and spend the evening making guests feel at ease in front of the camera. You keep things running smoothly, handle anything that comes up on-site, and pack down at the end of the night.
This is not a desk job. It is hands-on, people-forward work for someone who thrives in a social environment and takes pride in doing things right.
This role requires:
- Pick up of the equipment at Flash Co. HQ: ability to load the equipment, up to 50lbs in and out of your vehicle
- Drive to the event location (events can take place in Calgary & the surrounding areas, Kananaskis, Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise)
- Manage load-in at various venues and find parking for your vehicle
- Set up photo/video booth, complete system checks, troubleshoot any problems and send photos to your event contact for quality control
- Operating the booth throughout the event, interacting with guests and delivering a professional customer service experience consistent with Flash Co.’s brand standards.
- You will be delivering services at weddings, galas, corporate parties and celebrations. You will be dealing with large groups of people who are consuming alcohol. Many environments have a DJ or band playing.
- Performing on-site troubleshooting and fixing technical issues
- Disassembly of the equipment at the end of service and packing it into your vehicle
- Delivering the equipment back to Flash Co. HQ the night of the event
Who Thrives in This Role
You are genuinely warm with people and comfortable in a crowd.
You stay calm when things get noisy or complicated.
You are independent, detail-oriented, and do not need someone looking over your shoulder.
You are likely someone with a background in hospitality, catering, events, brand ambassadorship, or customer service. You enjoy a flexible schedule that works around your life, and you like the idea of growing into something more.

Event-based schedule: you take ownership of executing the events in your portfolio
