When a popular Stephen Avenue venue approached us with the challenge of designing an experience for their corporate clients, we were all-in. We needed to provide a self-served photo booth with brand consistency but tailor the experience to some of Calgary’s most notable Corporate brands for private parties.

The challenge: To offer a seamless, branded activation designed to operate throughout Stampede AND be flexible enough to allow for custom branding for corporate parties.

The Calgary Stampede is a city-wide festival with layered programming and diverse audiences. We needed to design an activation that would:

The booth had to work just as well for a corporate client hosting a private Stampede party as it did for a large open house or networking mixer.

The venue needed their Stampede Buckaroos branding present throughout the 10 day festival AND needed flexibility to add corporate branding on photos when booked for private events.

Solution#2: Bukaroos Branded Vinyl Wrap & Custom Digital Overlays
The below solutions allowed us to brand the photo booth itself with venue branding and have the option to custom brand the photos for private corporate parties. Here’s how we did it:
Branded Vinyl Wrap
The photo booth was vinyl wrapped with the venue’s Stampede branding for the duration of install. This promoted brand recognition for the venue throughout the entire install and left room to customize photo branding for private parties as they were booked.
Branded Photos & Digital Overlays
For every private corporate event, Flash Co. incorporated the company’s branding on the photos. Flash Co. was able to program the booth to feature custom branding for specific events throughout the festival without having to re-set the booth on-site. All of this was done remotely, creating a seamless digital experience for the venue and its clients on-site.
Results
Photo sessions: 3,648
Digital shares: 5,123 digital shares
Share rate: 1.4 per session
Every session produced a branded digital deliverable sent directly to the guest's phone via text message
Overarching Win: The venue generated incremental revenue across its full Stampede run from a single installation that its team did not have to manage.
Why the 10-Day Digital Photo Booth Install Worked
The model matched the venue's operational reality. The venue runs a demanding 10-day Stampede programme. A solution that required daily Flash Co. staffing would have been logistically more difficult. Remote management made a long-form installation viable.
